Hey, I’m dimo.
I run a company of one. (for now…)
“We” at Takimo do research consulting and career coaching. 🤝
Simpler than describing your tech career to a parent. 🤯
Having spent 15+ years in User Experience Research across several industries, being on your end
(looking for vendors)…
I know how frustrating it can be to hire the best expert for the actionable results you seek.
I take the time to understand the needs of my clients vs. trying to package and jam unneeded products through to their finance teams.
Clients, regardless of product stage, industry, or any individuals’ years of work experience, trust me to help them create the right plans to ensure success.

I do three things really well.

Comprehensive qualitative and survey research. ⚡
I specialize in qualitative and survey research.
This tends to fall into generative (e.g. what do we build next?) and evaluative (e.g. did we build something good?) stuff.
Not just UX, but really answering any business problem with any stakeholder. I’ve worked with PMs, CEOs, Finance, Legal, Data, Design, Marketing, Sales, QA, and News Editors-in-Chief, to name a few.
- Book time with me.
- In our first meeting (free!), we discuss your problem(s).
- In our second meeting (free!), I present my plan and cost for tackling your project.
- ??? (extremely efficient work together)
- Profit.
I also speak at events. Any events. 👨🏾🔬
In the past, I’ve given guest lectures at my alma maters, keynotes at design conferences, even Nerd Nite talks in the Bay Area. I have many years of improv under my belt and even helped run the improv team at Meta 😊.
I recently did a talk for the graduates at Claremont Graduate University entitled “Life isn’t a race, it’s an MMO“. Super fun talk – showcases some of my life’s dogmas.
All said, if you’re looking for a speaker for your event, I’m there with professionalism, effervescence, and dry humor abound.

Career coaching for any level of student or professional. 🤝🏾
If you’re a student (meaning pre-UX career) or are an active UX professional (or, hell, if you’re post-career and just wanna give me advice…), I’d love to meet you.
I’ve found that the ability to empathize and understand users extends to individuals seeking guidance in their professional journeys.
I offer personalized career advice, tailored development plans, empowering you to make informed decisions and achieve your career goals with confidence and clarity.
